"Poor Service"
We bought an Elantra on 6/30. The following Saturday the car's check engine light came in and the car was running extremely rough. The car was towed to the dealership. On Monday, the service agent told me that the ignition coil needed to be replaced. I was alarmed as the car only had around 10,000 miles on it and was used for a loaner at the dealership. The dealership did not have the part and had to wait until Wednesday for the part. The service agent did not call on Wednesday. When I called in on Thursday, I was told the part had not come in and it would be on the truck that day. They later called and said the part was not on that truck and would not be in until that Monday. The part did finally come in and they did fix it. Later, a representative at the dealership told me that the problem was called because the detailer powerwashed under the hood when we bought the car from this dealership. No one ever really apologized or offered any compensation for the inconvenience of this incident.

"Handling of recall"
I scheduled an oil change and mentioned the bracket recall of evap canister. I thought by mentioning the recall, the part would be available for replacement when I dropped my vehicle off at service. It wasn't. So I received phone call today (6 days after first appointment) that the bracket replacement arrived in parts dept. and to schedule ANOTHER appointment. Sometimes a little extra step could save time and convenience for all parties.
