This review is to encourage you to read the 1 review on "automd" and then head over to "yelp" where these people are referred to as "scammers" and not solely base your decision on my google review.
I had some front end body damage that Dean himself came to my place of employment to look at and even drove the car back to his shop so they could mock up a proper quote for me.
After I reviewed the quote, I decided to buy my own parts because they were CHARGING OVER DOUBLE FOR THEM. While Dean smiled and said nice work, they were plotting on how to recoup that money as they later said: "Do you go to a restaurant and bring your own food?"
Mind you, I work for a contractor and we regularly have clients that buy their own materials; faucets or light fixtures and we just charge on the labor.
They apparently incurred some "additional fees", proceed on with them without bothering to call me to make me aware and ask if it was ok to move forward. BUT! Could not be soo good as to make sure a light bulb, which is a safety hazard, was included as one of the additional fees as the head lamp I ordered online did not come with one.
I guess they are a mechanical shoppe and not equipped to do body work as they later ask me why I would bring my vehicle to a place that didn't have a spray painting booth. Do we honestly think I would've given them the keys to my car had I not been assured that they were capable of repairing it- OF COURSE NOT.
Dean even dropped by my job again and told me they were almost done, this was totally random after a snow storm about 2.5 week after I dropped the car off. I was given 3 different pick up dated, one being a Saturday but they were not even open on Saturdays. In all it took about a month to replace the bummer, hood, upper and lower grill and headlamp.
BE WARE: after I started mentioning this place to people, as I was soo upset about the service, they told me that Dean is related personally or professionally with a car rental service that is also in Johnston that has a reputation for ripping people off.
For the icing on the cake;
1. The woman called me a bitch via text
2. They made me wait even after we had a set pick up time to lower the car of off the lift.
3. Once it was off the lift, they insisted on washing my car when I said not to.
4. They had time to wash my car but not re-install the front license plate holder which is an RI requirement!
