satisfied for many years
Have three cars with service advisor Barry Murphy. Two are older, the third one is still under full warranty. No need to worry about warrantied cars. You want to pay attention, when you keep cars in good appearance and working conditions, which are older. From a parts point Mercedes has always taken pride in a solid parts supply policy for older cars. They deliver even rare parts for older cars quickly. In regard to the dealer and service advisor Barry, I could not wish for a better partner. Needed repairs are explained; I am told, what to plan for in maintenance and potential repairs in the near future, super convenient loaners are provided. Barry even takes pictures of more serious repairs on the older cars. He explains repair jobs in a way I understand - I am not a mechanic.
I am a nerd in regard to cars and can probably be difficult. It is my job to let the dealer representative know, what I expect. Provided I am reasonable, informed, civilized and courteous I can expect excellence from the dealer. Which in the case of Downtown LA Motors Mercedes I have consistently received over the years.

not great the way I was handle regarding being given a loan car by a service adviser by the name Daniel, I felt that I was being treated as if I was a second class citizen, I was told from the out set that I wouldn't be given a loaner even though my vehic
Unfair practice all customers should be treated equal and this does not appears to be the case

Goodbye Dealership.
Lease was up on a 2009 550 SL, purchased & returned to same dealership, Downtown L.A. Motors 12/10/12. My family & I have been loyal customers to this particular dealership for over 30 years. I was not disappointed but livid with Salesman Michael Juhn's behavior. Upon returning my leased vehicle I informed him I was interested in purchasing a different car, however, at a later date. Since he sold me the 2009 vehicle being returned I asked to look at other vehicle options. I attempted this 3 TIMES, and 3 TIMES his response to me was 'I cannot deal with you right now, I don't have time for you'. It doesn't matter how you do it, but for a prospective & return customer YOU MAKE THE TIME FOR THEM. This behavior is unacceptable, inappropriate & intolerable. I have decided to no longer be a customer of Downtown L.A. Motors. I will purchase another vehicle, but not with this dealership. I have colleagues & friends who for YEARS have referred their dealerships. That's where my money's going.

Sunil said he was not happy with this visit and he tried to talk to a manager about it, but he was told there was no one he could talk to about it. He took his vehicle in because the GPS and the CD player were not working. He said he had taken the fuses out because he thought they were the problem. When he got to the business he told them the fuses were the problem, but he was told they would have to do a diagnostic exam that would cost $110.00 and he gave them his consent. He was later told it would cost $490.00 because there was more that needed to be done. He said three days later the bill came out to $750.00 and the GPS and CD player are still not working. He said he thinks they are thieves and he will not return.

Service Manager contacted client and reviewed circumstances. We reviewed circumstances and worked through the concerns the client had with his advisor as it relates to the communication between the two. Service Manager agreed to review estimate with advisor and see if we might be able to provide assistance in the cost of repairs. Client was appreciative of the offer and we will speak again next week.
