Felt like I was being conned.
Decided to try this shop because it was closer than our mechanic across town and they offered a shuttle service home. What started off as squeaky brakes turned into a $1300 quote. Luckily, I decided to call our trusted mechanic across town, that doesn't have a shuttle or snack.... Just a garage and an honest mechanic. He literally started laughing. LOLOLOLOL. So, I picked up our vehicle and got my regular mechanic to fix it for under $500. Granted, I had to find my ride home, but that was just fine with me. It just makes me sad when you try to support a neighbourhood business and come out feeling like a sucker. And, to make it worse, I kept getting overwhelmed with junk emails from the shop, until I just unsubscribed. I will not be back. Ever. Next time, I will just stick with tried and true and rent a limo to take me home. I will still save hundreds.
