"Helpful visit to repair 2014 Nissan Altima"
Found problem with transmission, oil was changed. Next day problem accured again, oil changed again. Found out with help of Frank's outstanding staff that the transmission was still under Nissan warranty, transmission was changed for free at Nissan Dealership.

"Rip Off Artists"
We've actually had two experiences with Franks. A couple of years ago, my daughter's jeep was making a strange noise. Frank stated that it needed a new axle, to the tune of $1000. We got a second opinion and it was actually just a minor repair that costs $50 at another shop. Jeep ran fine for thousands of miles thereafter.

Today, my daughter's Toyota stopped running and was towed to Franks because that's where AAA towed it. They said it was a water pump and timing belt, and that they wanted $936. Bob Jarofzewski stated that they would not release the car unless we paid the shop $50 for "diagnoses". Total rip off. I'll re-post to let you know what the other mechanic said, but for now, BEWARE, these guys are not to be trusted!!!!!

Laura,

 To address the first issue with the Jeep. After we repaired the vehicle enough to drive it, heard noise from rear of vehicle. Ticket states possible axle bearing noise may require partial tear down to determine exact cause. No price given since diagnosis incomplete. Don't know where customer came up with price. On the most current issue, vehicle was towed in for stalling while driving with no restart. Used 1/2 hour of diagnostic time to determine timing belt bad and vehicle out of time (belt melted). Need to reinstall belt & time vehicle first to see if has internal valve damage. Cannot give final price until this is done. Apparently this customer feels that the time & effort put forth to get this far is not worth anything. Customer proceded to threathen the manager with bad reviews and futher action if she has to pay. She did pay but threatened to stop credit card payment. Poor maintance of this vehicle is cause of failure. Hopefully this customer will find a free repair shop.
