Do yourself a favor and visit these guys the next time you're in need of auto repair. You'll be a customer for life. No joke.
Thank you for taking the time to give us much appreciated feedback on you recent visit. Judging from the emotion beneath your grievance, I want to tell you that I completely understand how you may feel this way.
You are not the first customer to complain about the price of services these days.
I, for one, can't understand the difference between a $2.00 cup of coffee and a $6.00 cup of coffee, and yet people stand in line by the millions, each and every day, to purchase that premium coffee over the other. Why is that?
With that said, let me assure you that our technicians do not make $350.00 and Starbucks doesn't pay their Baristas $200.00 per hour. They also don't sell their coffee for the cost of the beans that they buy from South America either. They are a business which provides a valuable enough product at a price point worth paying, otherwise their customers wouldn't be willing to pay the asking price. That's the beauty of the free market in a free country.
You brought your vehicle in to have a perfromance issue with your vehicle diagnosed by a professional technician and not a "backyard mechanic", as you describe yourself.
... and so while this may at first glance appear a high price to pay for someone who has the minimum technical proficiancy such as yourself, let me further assure you that there are thousands of loyal customers whom feel perfectly comfotable with paying good money to have their vehicle serviced by a state certified technician, who has over 20 years experiance, with tens of thousands of tools, equipment and training, who works for one of the best small businesses in town.
Additionaly, I believe that clearly you have discovered that servicing your vehicle yourself is cheaper than hiring it out. Of cource, that goes for painting your living room, installing your own furnace or even brewing your own starbucks cup of coffee in the comfort of your kitchen for a fraction of paying someone to do that for you.
My question to you is; did you have to have us provide you an estimate of repairs (after we diagnosed it for you for free) in order for you come to this conclusion? Is this not already the oldest consumer equation in history?
