"Battery Light On"
I had that battery light on my dash flickering on an off. It would do it cold and many times, even after it warmed up. Not knowing if it was a Battery Issue or an Alternator issue, I had a friend put his tester on my batteries to check them first. They were fine. Then, we checked to see if the alternator was working. Yup, says it is charging. Hmmmm???
So I drove it, thinking that maybe it is just a bad light on the dash. Well....in 30 days or so, my batteries were dead. Truck wouldn't start. So I charged it up and took it to Frank at Kern River Automotive. He has always been diligent in service and repairs since I first visited his shop some 5 years or so ago.
In just a few short hours, Frank and his team figured out that the internal regulator in my somewhat new alternator was defective. They exchanged it for me and had me back on the road the very same day. Truck is running Great Too! Thank YOU Frank!!!!
