I overheard that they charge $100 to hook up the dashboard light machine to see why a dashboard light is flickering. I don't know if that's customary in Maryland (I'm from Utah), but it seemed a little bit, well, ridiculous. But it was just a phone conversation I was overhearing, so I could be wrong.
