I was about to take finals at IUK and became stranded Northbound on US931 at a stoplight on the south end of town. Competition Towing picked me up fast and took me to Quality Auto clinic. My battery and alternator had both gone bad. They were replaced and I was back on the road in the same day...
My story continues, but what Quality may see as a mistake allowed me the opportunity to truly trust them with all my auto repairs.
About a week later, my husband was driving to work and noticed something had gone wrong. He got to work and noticed that the serpentine belt was holding on by a thread. He had the car towed to the nearest auto repair shop in Indy. They diagnosed the issue and noticed that the bolts that hold in the alternator had rusted away, leaving the alternator to begin cutting the serpentine belt. We called Quality Auto - a Napa shop - to get their recommendation. They paid for the service in Indy, towed the car to Kokomo - to their shop - and worked to get it fixed for us.
All of this was free of charge because they took ownership of the issue. They knew they should have noticed the rusty bolts and had them replaced originally. Usually an auto repair store would make you responsible for this sort of issue, but Quality really took care of its customers.
I will recommend them and use their services in Kokomo exclusively because of how they handled this situation. And I think others should consider doing the same. They are a trustworthy auto repair shop, which isn't easy to find. Thank you Quality Auto Clinic!!
