A little disappointed this time
Back in July I brought my Explorer in for a noise the fan belt was making. A mechanic in Michigan told me the cause was the crankcase pulley which needed to be replaced. BP said it was just the fan belt and replaced it for $100. It was fine for 2 months and then started again. Guess what? This time BP said it was indeed the crankcase pulley. Replaced it for $450.
I had always been quite satisfied with the work at this shop but this time not so much.
