Service is good but overpriced
Scott’s is a clean capable and professional mechanic shop, but I feel they were very overpriced for the work they did. I had a check engine light and some other warning lights come on on my 2015 Infiniti QX60, with about 125,000 miles on it. I used a personal code reader which indicated the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. I ordered one online for $50, and replaced it in about 15 minutes, as it just required removing the air filter cover and loosening a rubber boot with a few screws. Unfortunately it did not stop the check engine light from coming on. I took it in to Scott’s and was told the rubber boot had a rip in it and would have to be replaced along with the new mass air flow sensor. I was charged almost $850, which included about 3 hours of labor and approx. $400 for the sensor ($275+/-) and boot ($130+/-). They are certainly capable, but overly expensive in my opinion.

Hi John,
Unfortunately the code readers do not dignose what is wrong with your car they only tell you that the computer saw something out of its primeters in a certian circuit. I understand no one likes spending money on there car, But i feel like we are very reasonable. We still have the lowest labor rate withen a 10 mile radius. With inflation parts prices have increased. We appreciate your business!

                                                        Thank You!
