As mentioned in previous reviews in my opinion there is not a better and more reliable Independent Mercedes operation anywhere in the area. Brandon is beyond competent, professional and is so honest and trust worthy I almost feel he is doing a favor by taking care of my vehicle.
I am now moving out of State and on a previous service he advised that the brakes are “starting” to approach replacement but not to worry there is plenty of time prior to replacement. Since I am moving and will not have anyone I can trust to service my vehicle I called and explained that I wanted a full service and wanted him to replace the brake rotors, etc.
After a short inspection he said that the rear brakes were the only ones that needed to be replaced and the front ones still had a fair amount of life and replacement was not critical. I elected to have him to do both front and rear. I would rather have it done correctly now than take a chance with someone I didn’t know later on. Then he brought up that I wanted a full service and since I had one completed in January, three months ago it should not need it. He checked the oil and said it was perfectly clean. I knew that but I like having it done every 6 months and while it was only three months ago I again said that I would feel better having it done now rather than later. He actually tried to talk me out of it. I insisted and while he complied he said he would give me a discount as it really didn’t need to be done. How is that for honesty, integrity and being someone you can rely upon for service in the MB world where with most operations it is “sell everything you can regardless of the need.”
Star Motors is an operation that is so far above the norm on professional, reliable and trustworthy service. I will miss him taking care of this old 1998 E-430 with 202,571 miles. I am going for 300,000 miles and with his type of care and oversight I know I will make it unless something non-mechanical happens along the way. In today’s world there are few operations that are as professional, competent and trustworthy.
And remember, I am moving out of State and will receive nothing from giving such a raving review, it comes from my heart, they deserve it.
