Oil leak on my 93 toyota.
After discovery of the problem, Vicks didn't call me back. I called them after 3 days. The problem was an oil plug in an area they worked on 6 months ago. My recommendation is that when they go into the area of the timing chain and there is another part which may be worn out, the cam adjustment plug, why not offer the customer the option of changing it then since it had 281K miles and was likely to faill before long? That would have saved me this visit.

Hey Mike, I appreciate the feedback. Just wanted to remind you that I did call you about the oil leaks when I found all of them. When you dropped the vehicle off you said you were in no hurry to get it back. Here's what I found leaking, the camshaft dummy plug was leaking, the oil pan gasket was leaking, the rear main crankshaft seal was leaking, the valve cover gasket was leaking, the pcv valve and hose was cracked and leaking and the water pump was leaking. I offered to repiar these leaks, but you only wanted the camshaft dummy plug, valve cover gasket and pcv valve with hose replaced. Per your comment about letting you know about other things that need attention and giving you the option to repair them or not, when your vehicle was here six months ago you requested to have the timing belt, front crankshaft seal, front camshaft seal, and the oil pump shaft seal replaced. We did as you requested and at that time the camshaft dummy plug was not leaking but the water pump was, which is right there where the timing belt and seals are, I notified you of this and you declined replacing the water pump. If you remember I did give you the option to fix this. I also notified you back on your June 13 2013 visit that the brake light was on and that the brake pedal was almost at the floor when you requested to have both serpentine belts replaced. You declined this repair also. I have communicated all these problems to you and you have declined them all. I really don't now what we could have done better, we do recommend things to our customers if we think they need them at the time. If you think about a vehicle with 281K miles on it the list of things that could go wrong are endless. The point not to miss here is that the things we noticed that were in need of repair you declined since you have been coming here. That's your business, we have done what you have ask us and aprroved and done it very well. We appreciate you business and look forward to serving you again soon.
