I am a loyal customer of this VA Tire & Auto location. The only criticism I have is re. the process for state inspection and emissions testing. The other VA Tire and Auto location at Icerink Drive seems to have a much better system. A technician comes out to your car within 5 minutes or so of your arrival. He/She takes your order, and then puts an invoice tag on the side mirror. You then leave your keys in the car and can go inside for coffee or do whatever, and they will call you when it is done. This location makes you sit in your car until it is your turn. The gentleman in front of me said he waited in his car for an hour. We wanted to leave our car there, and we were told that it was at the discretion of the technician, so if someone was waiting in their car behind us, the technician could take them first and would get to ours whenever they had a break. As they promised they would have it done by the end of the day, we did not really object to this, but I kind of feel like the check-in process at the other location is better because you are not expected to sit in your car while you are in line.
