damaged oil pan
May 2014 my oil/filter was changed at TGA, Houston. The last 4 oil/filter changes and two prior to May 2014 have been done at Westside with no problems. Prior to taking my car for a oil/filter change on 4/7/16, there was no evidence of an oil leak. I feel the damage to my car's oil pan thread was not due to age or wear, but cross threading and could have been avoided. I was expecting to pay for a regular oil/filter change and not $1388.25.

Phyllis I am sorry you feel this way but the oil pan drain plug hole had no threads left when we pulled it out. We tried to install it again but it would not tighten. The oil pan is made of aluminum and the threads over a period of time get worn down and give away. I understand your concern but we did not cross thread the plug. We always do our best to service our customers and there vehicles. Sometimes you come across these unfortunate curcumstances and this was one of them.
