"Cost/service/value/PRIDE"
The cost of this periodic maintenance visit was a bit of a shock. Cost of some of the future visits is even worse. I've shown your suggested maintenance list/cost sheet to friends who are in the business with other dealers and they think your prices are " crazy high." I may rethink whether or not i will return for all suggested maintenance services or have some of them done by local repair shops. Your Service dept. is well represented with (I believe) caring, dedicated and professipnal personnel. They kept me appraised of what was going on with my vehicle and necessary repairs. Just the fact that I made an appt for this servicing and got it right in I think was great. This has not always been the case with other dealerships. The value of this visit is up in the air. Were all items replaced actually in need of replacement or done based on "recommended service" listings?" I have taken vehicles to outside servicers for oil changes and such and when they notice something else that may need to be done they show me the deficiency and ask to repair it or not. But not because it was on a list of things to do. I will say, your people got me in and out in a very timely manner. I expected to be there much longer than I was. As a result, I was able to get some other things done. To me, that was real value. Thank you for that. Finally, PRIDE which is an acronym for Personal Respon- sability In Daily Effort. That means everyone from the intake of the vehicle, the diagnosticians, the mechanics who do the work to the delivery of the finished vehicle, has a vested interest in doing their best. An old saying, what you remember best is what was done last. In this case, it was the courtesy car wash after the servicing that left 2100 miles of bugs and grime on the front end of my wife's vehicle. People will pic up on the most trivial things and those things become major issues. Next time i have to come in, I'll get the work done but will probably skip the carwash.
