Thank you Colleen! We appreciate your business!!
Thank you Cheryl! We appreciate your business!
On April 12, 2017 you had your truck in for service. At that time, it had 208,000 miles on it. We diagnosed a misfire on cylinder #8. It needed a #8 ignition coil, spark plugs, oil pressure sending unit and the fuel pump was replaced because the pressure/volume was low. At that time, we tested relative compression. All cylinders were good and equal.
On February 19, 2018 you brought the truck in for service and there was a misfire on #4/#6 cylinders. When we did the relative compression test both #4/#6 cylinders tested low and the engine has an internal knock. We explained to you that it would be more cost effective to replace the engine with 2 weak cylinders and an internal knock than to repair it. We explained this to you when you were in and the work was declined.
There was no indication of an underlying problem last April because the relative compression test was good.
We thank you for your business and hope to continue working with you in the future.
