ZERO stars. I was sold a Lemon.
This has been the worst new car experience of my life. I waited until I was almost 50 to finally treat myself to a brand new car with all the bells and whistles and I've had nothing but regrets over it. One of the coolest safety features this car had (and one of my top reasons for buying it) was the blind spot cameras. Unfortunately, these cameras have a mind of their own and only work when they want to. The other times they are just a solid green screen. When driving at night, the solid green screens are quite startling as they're very bright and come on unexpectedly. I've swerved multiple times from being startled by the sudden appearance of these bright green screens. It's supposed to be a safety feature, but it has turned into something dangerous.
I've had this car in service multiple times now, it's been dismantled multiple times and the issue has yet to be resolved. As of right now my car has been at the service dept. for 8 days with no resolution in sight. I have since seen on Reddit that this is a common problem, but I was not warned of this at the time of purchase.
The amount of time I've wasted on this is inexcusable. I've had to cancel/reschedule meetings and/or appointments and step away from work to bring this car in, only to have to bring it back home because the cameras decided to work on the day of the scheduled appointments (I believe this happened 3-4x). The cameras just work at random times, hence why I'm so startled when the green screens unexpectedly appear. This most recent time, I just brought it in without an appointment when there was a time that A.) suited my work schedule and B.) the blind spot cameras were once again failing. And now I have to waste more time waiting without my brand new car as my buyback/exchange case under the Lemon Law is currently in review.
As a side note, the salesman who sold me the car told me to come see him when I brought the car in to be serviced the first time, but I was shooed away and escorted out abruptly by one of the managers and then I overheard him swearing and saying nasty things about me as he walked away, when he thought I wasn't listening. This manager's name is Faris Ihmeidan.
It's a real shame because I fell in love with the features and promises of this car, but now it just gives me the ick after being partially dismantled multiple times only to have zero fix to the problem. I hope they hurry up and get me an exchange or a buyback. I was told this could take 25 days. I just want what I paid for.
