Bells, Whistles, Recalls & Privacy

I love the safety features and the look of the vehicle, it has a decently smooth ride and the cabin is quiet. Recalls are frequent and often for concerning failures that could prove dangerous. The data collection policies are terrible and give me second thoughts about keeping it. The services built into the purchase lock you in with dealerships whose customer service reflects that you are locked in.

Carpool ready

The Sante Fe is a spacious, comfortable, beautifully designed car. The sleek display is easy to work plus it has buttons if the flat screen is tough to use while driving. The way the car is organized makes so much sense for any mom driving a carpool or just heading to work. The space under the console, or as I call it, the purse holder, is perfect for keeping the phone chargers and cup holders clear. The interior is incredibly functional. I enjoy driving the car because the steering is tight and the car feels solid and safe. It has lane assist — with a camera that appears when you apply the turn signal, to ensure the lane is clear. So many little details that make it feel luxurious while being quite functional. And the ability to move it forward and backward while outside of the vehicle has come in handy more than I ever realized it would when I’ve been parked in and there’s no room to open the doors.

15k miles since March 2025

I’ve had my SF for a little over 18 months. Very comfortable for long car rides, with plenty of room for everyone. It’s been reliable, just routine maintenance covered mostly by the 3-year maintenance plan, wheel alignment wasn’t covered. Decent on gas for it’s size. Overall happy with the vehicle, electronics act up every now and then. I’ve had to manually reset the infotainment system a few times. Nothing major but annoying none the less.

Great SUV

Having owned two prior Santa Fe’s I can tell you this one is far and away the best. Love the style, third row, power, comfort, safety, driver assist and features. Only things I am not trilled about are the tires (typical of new cars with cheaper tires with high road noise) and the tech. Great features but some of the controls are not intuitive.
