Catherine, I have left phone messages to try and speak with you about your concerns because I feel that we have let you down. As I have not heard back from you I will respond here.
I would like clarify that the diagnostic fee was $49.99, not $100.00. A vehicle scan tool is just that, a tool. It will point us in the direction of the fault that the vehicle has and will be used help with diagnosing a problem. Unfortunately the tool does not just tell us to go to a certain place and fix. You were charged for doing a manual cleaning of the throttle body due to the large amount of carbon build up. The air intake cleaning service was performed which cleans the intake manifold and the top of engine valves. A little more than just "pouring in a can of cleaner." All of this work was performed after you approved the repairs. Aspen Auto Clinic will never perform a service or repair without customer authorization first. The total of the bill with tax was $225.48
You did return after picking up the vehicle stating that it was still not idling. We asked if we could go on a test drive with you at that time and you were not able to. I drove the vehicle with the technician and neither he nor I experienced the engine not running at an idle. We called and asked again to come in for a test drive with us and you were able to come in the next day. After the test drive the next day with the Technician you came in and said Thanks, smiling, said everything is fine and left.
