We have taken our cars to Big E for a number of years. Not only is the service consistently good and friendly, but Kieran and Walter are extremely honest and trustworthy. Our car broke down on a trip to LA a couple of years ago. The shop that AAA towed it to told us the transmission was shot and needed to be replaced for $6K. We called Kieran and he was suspicious given the symptoms. We had the car towed to San Mateo. Sure enough, the transmission was ok - Big E replaced a $150 part and it was good to go (and still running well 2 years later). In my experience, Big E never oversells what needs to be done, and they will prioritize the important stuff if you don't want to get multiple items done at one time. It's the only place we take our cars.
