Overpriced
Darrell's Firestone wanted $460 for a repair that I had done elsewhere for $245. The manager there told me that the part cost $350 when I was able to locate the part myself for $150 at Motown Auto. Ripoff! I won't be back

Hi Jim,

I'm very sorry you had a problem with our pricing we do our best to be competitive and use quality parts.I researched your part and yes there is a part that can be bought for $150 from a part store. We are a repair shop and have to mark the parts up we buy. We usually make 50% gross profit. If there are shops out there that don't use a similar mark up then they wont be around very long. If we would have charged you cost on the part with labor it would have come out to the $245 you spoke of. That could have been a option for you with a warranty stipulation.  Again I'm sorry for your bad experience.

Thanks Darrell
