Dave's was recommended and as I shopped the cost of a replacement clutch for my 2007 Chevy Cobalt, Dave's seemed to be the best price even at a ridiculously high cost of $1100. YIKES!
They were fast and Keith the manager was very friendly. But when I went to pick my car up the power-assist steering was gone and the engine was misfiring. In other words, not like I brought it in. I conceded that the engine misfire could have been my mistake as I had messed around with the spark plugs a week before I took it in for the clutch problem. But holy cow! Losing the power-steering is pretty major. Again, being super nice about it, they put my car on a rack and showed me that there was no power-steering system in the car. Uhm... that doesn't mean there is NOT a problem. I left it a day longer thinking I would have been better to take it to a dealer service center, but they did discover that an electric connector had been left off which provided an electric-assist steering system. Why that was beyond their knowledge I'm not sure. Again, through it all, they were super nice, even if they thought I was the crazy one - at least for awhile. Ultimate cost though was closer to $1400! OUCH!!!
