John said he has not been very satisfied overall or with the quality of the work because the hood is so far off that anyone could notice it. He plans to come back in to see what they can do. The vehicle was ready 6 days late for complicated reasons involving the type of hood and poor fit. He told them not to rush. He said they did not keep him informed until he called and raised heck. They did not initiate communication. He would not recommend them because of their shoddy work. Owen was very gracious and polite, he was a real gentleman. He said Owen offered him extra perks. He said they tried to slap an aftermarket hood together, which would not fit. It is butchered and it looks like it was done in a high school metalshop. He wanted an OEM Cadillac hood, but since they came up with the aftermarket one he told them to go ahead. He said he knows the repairs are more of an art than a science, but the defects are too obvious. He chose them because his detail guy suggested this business. Their estimate was higher than what his insurance company was willing to pay, so he is responsible for paying the difference. He was willing to pay more for better quality, but things are still not resolved.
