Peter, That innocuous piece of paper has your signature on it explaining that you are responsible for the maitenance that Hyundai requires. We are not asking you to do any more than the factory requires. So these are not phony inspections and additive. It 's what the manufacturer says you need to do in order to prove you've taken care of the vehicle the way it is supposed to be so warranty will not be put into question. Pardon us for thinking you wanted to maintain your vehicle. For instance at 7,500 miles Hyundai requires a fuel additive oil change and tire rotation as well as various inspections. this service is about 69.95 which the oil change will be credited being you have free oil changes leaving 19.95 for the tire rotation and a little over 10 dollars for the additive. The next paying service is the 15k, which requires more to be inspected and more parts such as a cabin air filter. Again the oil change is deducted and you pay for the balance. then at 22500 the 7500 is done again. then at 30,000 is the biggest service. all repeat respectively. Now every oil change in between these services are free as well. We assume that you want to keep your car in warranty by doing the reqired mantenance, which you can perform any where you like as long as they are done.We are offering the oil changes to keep that business here, thats all. Soif your going to change your oil and do these services somewhere, we are offering an incentive to do those services here by Hyundai guidelines for what needs to be done. So if you don't see any value in that, o.k. But don't say its not what Hyundai requires because all that shows is you did't read your owners manual. If you would like verification on this please contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151 or refer to your maintenance manual. We are sorry for any misunderstanding this has created.
