Kona 2024 recall service
I called for an appointment when I received a recall notice on my new 2024 Kona. The soonest opening was in 2 weeks. When I arrived, the service person first checked if the needed parts were available. They were not. So I had to leave without the service being provided and wait to be notified when the parts came in. Approximately 2 weeks later I got the call to bring my car in. Because the service required a half day, shuttle service was provided (and much appreciated) home and then back to pick up my car. Both the service staff and the shuttle driver were excellent. My only concern is the lack of communication between scheduling and service area. As a result, the service area was not prepared to provide the needed service due to lack of needed parts even though they had a 2-week lead time. Waiting to check for parts until after the customer arrives for the service is too late. But other than that, I will always use your service.....overall it is excellent.
