Horrible Service Dept, Awesome Client Advisor
i took my car in for 4 recalls. I dropped it off at 7:30am. I was told there were several employees who had not shown up for work. I asked to be kept updated. At 9:16am, I received a call there were issues with the software but were working on it. To me, this indicated they were working on my car. i went to the dealership at 1pm. The car was parked next to the office but I didn't ask about it. I was told they still had the 172 point engine inspection to do and the car would be ready at 3pm. At 3pm I call the service department. I was told they needed to finish the final recall. Wait? Final recall? I was told all they needed to do was the 172 point engine inspection. They asked for 30 more minutes. I couldn't wait another 30 minutes. I had a 4 hour drive to get back home. I was parked at the dealership so I walked to the service dept. I was told the software tech quite mid-morning and they had no one else who could do it. Shouldn't this have been the cue to call the customer and let them know??? I asked they just give me the car and I'd have the last recall done somewhere else. The "service manager", I'm not sure that is who he was. I'd give his name except he didn't bother to introduce himself. Anyway...Mr. Service Manager pulled up the service record. He said to have the techs put the car back together and I'D HAVE JUST ONE RECALL LEFT TO DO. Fine by me, I needed to leave. A service dept employee finally told me none of the recalls had been done. There is more to the saga but, I imagine, you get the jest of it. I don't know that I can truly express my disappointment. I was lied to or mislead repeatedly. "We dropped the ball." Yes, and then some. The only save grace in this entire situation was Lance Fields, Client Advisor. He's management material and you should take advantage of the opportunity to put him in a position that will benefit you greatly!
