The quality of the work they do is top notch. I never worry about my car failing due to their work.
I have a lot of experience working on my own car. On cars I've owned I have changed the timing belt, the clutch, the transmission (Yes, I swapped the transmission because it failed due to the previous owner's lack of maintenance), brakes, muffler, airbags, drive shafts, and much more.
I'm very sensitive to the quality of the work mechanics perform and notice _everything_ (at least I think I do :-)
Al and his team have never left my car wanting better service.
So why only 4 stars? Hmmm... this is tough to say. My relationship with them is only 7-8 months in and I don't yet have the experience to be certain of a 5 star rating. That's the best I got for now.
