Excellent Volvo service as always
I can count on Peter's Auto Works to ensure prompt, professional service. Fixing a Volvo can be spendy, but I think their rates are fair and their expertise is such that the speed with which they fix my car helps minimize the labor costs.

Caring and Friendly
I would assume most customers are in a similar situation; a volvo with a lot of miles on it that is always going to have some kind of issue. The team at Peter's is incredibly well versed on Volvos and I trust their opinions. However, I think they could do a little better job helping customers prioritize repairs. I am not going to spend thousands of dollars on a car that is only worth a few thousand. It would be nice if they helped customers rank the importance of their issues.

It was a tough job
When my warning light about the brakes came on, I knew it needed fixing. My regular mechanic, who is quite good, couldn't solve it other than it wasn't a sensor on the wheel. Unfortunately, it was costly fixing it, replacing a rear axle, but that solved the problem, with no significant false steps. Drives like new!

Great Service & Friendly Staff
The service was great as usual, but did have a surprise. Since bringing my present car for service, have always did so at around 3,000 miles and the sticker on my windshield indicated that was proper.
The last two times I have noticed the sticker indicates I only need to bring it in every 5,000 miles. Checked with Brian and it seems since my car uses synthetic oil this is not the proper mileage.
This just caught me by surprise since I had always been told previously that 3,000 miles was the indicator for an oil change.

Thanks Gordon for your review we appreciate it. It took me a while but I figured out the sticker difference, your's is the only vehicle that we use standard Quaker State 5w30. Our standing order is to have 2 cases in stock. what happend was we got synthetic oil instead of standard so when the tech seen it was synthetic the sticker was changed to 5k instead of 3k so your next oil change will go back to 3k because our shipment has been corrected and now we are getting the standard oil as we are supposed to. Sorry for the confusion.

Warranty work without a question & a loaner
A new part, from Volvo, failed, requiring Peter & Co. to take my car apart again, replace the failed Volvo part, and then reassemble. Total cost to me? $5.00 for the loaner car. Great service.
