Mr. Lemons,
First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your feedback. Our team is committed to insuring that our customers are completely satisfied with our service. All repair documents have been reviewed, so we think it is fair to state the facts. On December 22, 2014, you brought your 2009 Lincoln MKS in the shop from a local Transmission shop and requested a transmission software update. We perform software updates after transmission repairs have been completed, by other local shops. Our technician, upon inspection, found that no later calibration was available for your transmission on your vehicle. During this original inspection of the Lincoln we also found many issues with your vehicle that required attention, including a torque strut mount and our Service Writer consulted with you about these issues at the time you picked up your vehicle. On January 16, 2015, you returned and requested that we replace your torque strut mount. It was after the strut mount was replaced and you realized your transmission problem was not resolved by replacing the strut mount, were you clear about your real issue. The transmission, intermittently, had a harsh 2-3 shift. Following the realization of your transmission issue, service provided you with printed technical service bulletins from Ford addressing your complaint. We know it is expensive to replace your transmission, however, we never diagnosed your transmission, nor were we ever asked to. Please note that we are in business to be honest and fair. We have a 24 month or 24,000 mile nationwide warranty on ALL our repairs including labor. Thanks again for your feedback. Kevin Robertson
