Very satisfied with Roundel's routine repairs and difficult diagnosis
About halfway through a recent long trip, the display of my 2006 530xi suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree. Every conceivable warning light, from: Brakes, AWD, ABS, etc., went off at once. Not something you ever want to see, and absolutely not 350 miles from home. Interestingly, the car handled the same as ever so I completed my trip.
When I got back to Cape Cod and brought it over to Roundel, Patrick and James very quickly diagnosed the problem. I can't remember the actual details, but know it had to do with the AWD no longer functioning, i.e., the car can no longer divert power to spinning wheels in low traction situations. They said I could continue driving the car safely until the best time for me to make repairs.
As my car required some more routine work (front brakes and 2 tires), I had them do these repairs, and held off on the AWD repair (for now). The work was done to their usual high standard of excellence. Kudos to Matt, too, for his superb customer service and professionalism. These guys are the best.
