Masters of their craft
I just took our 2000 Volvo to Wells Automotive Service for the third time. The car is running great and we want to keep it for the rest of our lives, but it's old enough that some major parts are no longer up to the job. The first time Wells Automotive replaced unbelievably worn out wheel bearings that had escaped the attention of the service department at the dealership where I had taken our Volvo for more than fifteen years. The second time they replaced malfunctioning oxygen sensors that Volvo didn't even make any more. And this time they replaced the rest of the exhaust system, the front brake pads, the spark plugs, and the trunk lift, and fixed a few other things as well (oil + filter, cabin air filter, reseal and rebalance a tire). Each time I couldn’t have been more impressed. Frank and Miguel were fast, efficient, and thoroughly professional. They told me in precise detail what was wrong, what it would take to fix it, and how long it would take. And the car came back looking like new. I love watching people doing something at which they are really very good. From what I could see, they aren’t just very good at what they are doing. They are masters of their craft.
