I would not recommend Beech Monroe Auto Service based on my recent experience.
I would not recommend Beech Monroe Auto Service based on my recent experience.

On October 14, 2025, I brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in for a temperature gauge issue. The shop told me I needed a thermostat, water pump, and radiator flush for $2,500. They used American First Finance to process the payment but charged me $3,000 instead.

When I questioned the extra $500, they admitted they weren’t supposed to finance two cars under one person’s name, but they had already done it and said they would “fix it later.” They never properly corrected it. They first gave me a refund check that bounced, and only after I followed up several times did they send the money through Zelle.

After the repairs, my heat completely stopped working, and my check engine light came on — it was not on before I dropped the car off. When I asked the shop about the ongoing issues, they claimed it was my housing gaskets and quoted over $2,000 to fix it. However, the dealership did not find any issue with gaskets. They diagnosed that a bad air intake sensor (≈$375) was actually the cause of my original temperature gauge problem, meaning the issue I paid Beech Monroe to fix was never properly fixed at all. They also found that my heater core now needs replacement (≈$2,700).

I’ve filed a formal complaint with American First Finance and the Michigan Attorney General due to how this repair and financing were handled.

I’m sharing this to warn others — always double-check your invoice, financing, and get everything in writing before agreeing to work with this shop.
