I had my Chevy truck towed in because it would not start. I was told it was the fuel pump. I told them I had just replaced the fuel pump (less than 100 miles) and told the mechanic I thought it could be the passlock system(chevy security). I was told the passlock was checked and it was the fuel pump not the passlock. installation of a new fuel pump was over $1000.00. I asked if the issue was covered if it didn't solve the problem and was told yes. I got the truck back and less than 100 miles later, it once again would not start. I called and they had the truck towed in. I was then told nothing was wrong with the truck and they only warranted the fuel pump not the issue, and to add insult I was charged for the tow. I took the truck home, the next morning the truck wouldn't start. I changed the passlock(around $40.00) on the ignition and it has been over 8 months and have no issue. I was charged around 1200.00 when it should have been around $400.00.
