Reminds why I avoid the dealer for service at all costs!
Headlight out and needed alignment - $187 to replace at $20 bulb - would have done it myself in 10 minutes but had issue with the headlight alignment. Guess I set my self up for this one...
Check Engine Light on - $146 to read the code. Then they wanted another $219 to upgrade software. Only then could they tell me if the evaporative fuel system leak code was real or could be cleared. Why they could not run a simple smoke test without the software upgrade I don't know, but charging $146 to read codes is a new record!
At that point I was done - did not go for the quoted $704 to replace an oil filter housing gasket or the $1245 to replace a valve cover gasket.
Find yourself a good mechanic... Avoid this dealer at all costs.
