Customer came in because her vehicle was over heating and smoking. She was adamant that HHS’s is what was happening to her vehicle. This was her only focus. We pressure tested the vehicle and found no leaks however we did find heat the coolant was brown and rust looking and that thermostat had a delay in opening and suggested a coolant flush. We also advised customer that her valve covers were leaking oil badly. The only other problem customer brought to our attention was that the cover table top was not opening and we determined she had a problem with the hydraulic lines but did take the time to show her how to open and close it manually. Customer never mentioned that the smoke she thought was coolant smell was actuall burning wire smell. We hooked up the scanner and found several STORED CODES. We found that the battery had been disconnected and she was asked about it and she confirmed that it had previously been replaced. There was no indication of low voltage and we did not smell anything burning at the time it was inspected. If there was a brake down in communication between customer and myself, I apologize for that but we did make every effort to find the issue with her vehicle, based on the information provided.
