Poor sales department, even worse management and fallow through
Purchased a pre-owned tiguan with a check engine light. The salesman Alex, who is now unreachable, agreed any light or issues would be resolved as part of the deal. The NEXT morning the car was dead and would not start. Had to buy a new battery to install. The DAY after that, the check engine light was on for an issue that was promised to be resolved prior to purchase. 15 days later i still have no plates, nor any signs that the registration has even been filed. I've been told the salesman is expected to be out for months. The finacer is out of office and any agreements or resolutions fall of deaf ears. My calls have been bounced between departments numerous times over the last 2 weeks.

UPDATE: My temp plates are now about to expire tomorrow. The general manager and manager are holding my plates ransom, locked in their office in retaliation for the poor review. Unknown which has them specifically, as neither are responding 4 days later. Drove 90 minutes there to pick them up and the receptionist said they didnt have them and drove back home, 2 hours with traffic. My 3rd time making the trip. They have not been responding for days. I now have to file a lost plate form with the police and head to the NYDMV to replace the documents i paid $180 for at time of sale. ALSO, the managers are trying to charge me an additional $64 as they say they have underquoted fees. Funny enough, the maximum charge in New York is $175 and the temp fees in New Jersey is under $10. Typical stealership. These guys are crooks. Drive the extra 30 minutes to a better business.

I was referred by a friend to take my vehicle to Jack Daniels Audi service center. My friend stated to me that Jack Daniels Audi service and parts center.”They are costly, but they get the job done..” therefore I took her word, and I gave Jack Daniels Audi, service and parts center a call due to a major problem I was having with my Audi that needed to be fixed immediately.
I was actually shocked at the amount of the cost of service needed because it was quite in fact, an enormous amount to pay, and I was afraid of making the decision of having them complete the work that needed to be done on my Audi.. Lol I must state to you. I have no regrets. Sean was one of the technicians whom dealt with my vehicle and although I had a problem in deciding whether or not to have them complete work on my vehicle, he made me feel comfortable right off the bat.. I explain to him the issues I had and the timeframe it would possibly take me to have to pay the full amount for my vehicle to run like it should and I was nervous of the response I would have got in return. Well communicating with Sean(one of the technicians) and Sean having to inform his boss,, I will stay Jack Daniels, service, and parts of Fair Lawn New Jersey are caring people. They were willing to work with me and they did .They introduced me to other payment options that would help me such as Sunbit, and yes it did help me because every little bit does count.. Jack Daniels Audi of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, even gave me an enormous discount No LIE! Most importantly, after they completed the work needed to be done on my vehicle. I received my vehicle back and let me remind you I waited a little while before I post this review but now I can tell you my 2012 Audi A5 2.0 T Coupe runs like brand new. What more can I ask for? The only thing, I was due for an oil change so my indicator light came on, and I was unable to open the hood because the latch wasn’t attached. Yes immediately my mind started to wonder, but the next opening day I called costume service of Jack Daniels Audi service and parts and requested a manager but instead I got a call back from Sean, and he told me to bring the car in and that little problem was fixed right away with no problem.
I am thankful for my friend who referred me to Jack Daniels, Audi, Fair Lawn, New Jersey. I am thankful for all my technicians. Sean is the GREATEST!!! he will do his best and satisfying the customer. He is FRIENDLY, He is POLITE, he is CARING , but MOST IF ALL HE IS HONEST! And I say this because when I contacted service for my car to have one issue fixed, I asked Sean why don’t he just fix the issue that I have with my car only, and he honestly told me he couldn’t, because if he did I’d keep having the same problem . Therefore I said OK ! That is honesty!
I am THANKFUL for the manager as well as their costumer service team of Jack Daniels Audi service, and parts !
For all the readers of my review, this is my personal experience this team to anyone!

Very Distasteful Experience
I would never recommend people to use this shop for any service, and based on my experience, I would stop patronizing this dealer for any car purchase either. I already regret buying my wife's car (Q5) from this dealer.

I had an appointment on Monday (07/24/22) at Jack Daniels Audi of Upper Saddle River for a brake light and oil leak I had noticed a few days prior on my 2017 A4. The total estimate for all these repairs totaled just over $9,000. For a 5-yr old vehicle with close to 90k miles, it seemed a bit excessive. Nevertheless, we decided to replace the rear rotors and brakepads, along with topping off the leaking engine fluids.

I was told to keep an eye on the fluid levels, so on Wednesday, two days later, upon trying to release the engine hood, I noticed the latch seemed disconnected from the release mechanism when I pulled on it. Called Jack Daniels Audi Upper Saddle River to address this problem.

When I brought the car to their service dept, they could not guarantee they could do so without damaging the release mechanism parts. Additionally, the service person said it is not their responsibility that the hood latch does not work; he basically said it might be broken after we got the car back from their service (like I had to trust their words completely). In other words, “you’re on the hook for the repairs we incur if we make a mistake.” Seriously?!?! A heated debate ensued, with them doing their best to deflect any liability, while maximizing their bottom line. What surprised me the most was when I posed a hypothetical — what if I had asked them to show me how to check the fluids levels right after the first repair appointment, and we had discovered then in person, together, that the hood latch was broken? Would they have accepted responsibility then? To which they replied, “No.” Needless to say I was appalled and extremely dissatisfied with their service, but more so with their overall attitude and approach with me as a client. It just seemed extremely convenient that no hypothetical situation could exist where they would accept liability.

Additionally, when I was driving the car yesterday, the front part of the plastic guard covering the bottom of the engine frame fell off from the car frame - dragging and touching the road when I drive. I immediately brought the car to the nearest independent service station. The service person lifted the car up and found out all the screws for the front part of the plastic cover were missing (and the cover was just inserted above the other plastic cover). These guys at Jack Daniels Audi either just forgot to re-screw them or intentionally left them out. The reason I suspect that possibility is the service manager strongly pushing me to replace my A4 (with such high estimate for leaks telling me most of the cost is labor) after I only wanted to replace the brakes and told him I would need to think about my options. Perhaps the inoperable hood latch problem right after their service may not be just coincidental. Either way, I cancelled my appointment to fix the hood issue with these guys since I could not trust them at all. I will find other services to address this problem.

A distasteful thing is, when I submitted my complaint initially using their online form (telling them I would not purchase my A4 replacement from their dealer because of this experience - I was automatically considering to replace my A4 from them because I purchased my wife's Q5 already from them), I immediately got a call from the saleswoman asking whether I was trying to buy another car. Really? What an insult!

I intend to tell all my friends and whoever considering to purchase cars or use their service to avoid this establishment.

Bad experience
They charged me for not filling up the gas tank after I drove for a few miles and the advisor told me not to worry about it and won’t get charged after I asked if I should add gas. I would have added gas except they told Me If I could drive back to show them the defect of my car because they couldn’t replicate it. I came back to show them but couldn’t replicate the problem so then they said “well I guess you can take the car back and give us the loaner back” which I then said “but I didn’t even have a chance to put gas in the car” then the advisor said don’t worry about it. When I saw the charge a week later I called them cause I was pissed. They said they would call me back to resolve the charge and never did (3 times I called). I’m not coming back here. Don’t deal with these people

Great Customer Service- Terrible ACTUAL Service
I decided to service my Audi at Jack Daniels recently and had a terrible experience that I wanted to share with others considering service here. What was a really positive experience with Adrien B. (he was the best!) soured quickly. I got the car back with long scratches on the hood, doorS, and trunk, none of which were there when I dropped the car to them. I spoke with the Service Manager Joe, who was nice and seemed concerned. He offered to buff the scratches out but I did not feel comfortable having my car there anymore. As the service department charges $200 per hour, I expect them to leave my car in as good or better condition than when it arrived. The dealership doesn't offer loaners or even wash your car, both of which other nearby Audi dealerships do automatically. My poor experience with Jack Daniels service is consistent with other reviews in that management clearly does not have a good handle on the systemic issues there- they are either ignoring the issues or largely incapable. Unfortunately, I never read the reviews until after I experienced issues myself.

I purchased an Audi A6 from another nearby Audi dealership and as such, I generally maintain my car there. I chose Jack Daniels Audi this time as the car had recently been driven over a raised manhole cover and there were sounds emanating from the underside of the car and it needed an oil change anyway. Jack Daniels had plenty of availability within the same week, whereas my regular dealership did not. All this l said, I have the ability to compare both Dealership service experiences, and I will never bring my car back to Jack Daniels. Details of my experience are below.

I used the night drop off process, which was fine. My service rep, Adrien B. was fantastic- he explained things well, was thorough, and able to juggle delivery of supply orders, scheduling of work, and timelines of when the car would be ready really well. I picked up the car after hours as well- I noticed new scratches on the car: 2/3 the length of the hood, along the doors, and on the trunk lid. I called the service department and spoke to the service manager Joe, who to his credit offered to buff out the scratches. I declined because I do not trust them with caring for my car. I ended up having my car professionally detailed elsewhere out of my own pocket.

Also, worth mentioning- my regular dealership washes, and in a post Covid world, even takes measures to sanitize my car ANYTIME my car is there, plus they offers loaner cars. Jack Daniels does not offer loaners, and my car came out much dirtier and scratched after having been at the dealership.

Worst dealership experience- do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I only gave it any stars at all because Adrien and Joe did a stellar job with customer service. The actual service performed and management’s decisions not to improve the consistently poorly rated customer service (the themes are similar to other reviews) lowered their score immensely.

I won't be doing business with any of the Jack Daniels dealerships again. There are too many better options out there.

Tal is the worst “manager” ever
Wish I could give negative stars. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. From the moment my wife scheduled the appointment to drop off our sq5 until 14 days yessss 14 days later when we finally picked it back up. Do your self a favor and run don’t walk away from this place. Before I go into detail on how unprofessional and condescending the “manager” Tal was I would ask that someone from corporate or upper management contact me as I do not want bash the dealership as a whole but this man is definitely not representing the jack Daniels name correctly. As we are in a very competitive day and age and every person that walks in those doors is either a current/past/or more importantly a future customer you would think that this man would have treated my wife or myself with respect and simple dignity but at no point did he. It was quite the opposite. Being talked down to and treated like a second rate person is completely unacceptable. The pompous attitude that this man showed us should not be the normal. As I stood there and had him laugh in my face and pass the blame to other people I was wondering how this man has a job in customer service. I will continue this review after I speak to someone from the dealership as I want to afford them the opportunity to speak on their behalf.

Horrible experience with Parts department
I'm writing to inform anyone, shop or retail customer to NOT deal with the Audi parts department for Jack Daniels Motors. This review is for Cody and Mark of jack Daniels Audi. I ordered for my car a bumper and trim parts for my Audi S6. The invoice # Q7625, for the sum of $1,438.89. After receiving the parts I was informed by my insurance company that it would not be covered so I called Jack Daniels to return the parts. When I called and asked to return them I was put in touch with Cody(Kody?) and was informed that he couldn't process the return and that his boss was away on vacation in the outer banks and could not be reached (7/13/20). He informed me that he can't confirm or deny the return without his bosses approval and that we need to catch him on a good day to hopefully get something done. A week goes by while I wait for an answer and I received no phone call the following week so I decided to follow up. Speaking with Cody again he said that his boss is undecided on the return but was not looking good (7/21/20). This is where it gets confusing. I told him i'm fine with a restocking fee and that I was trying to avoid the $1,438.89 store credit to which Cody had hinted towards. He said he understands and will keep trying with his boss. I will make note that ALL the parts are still in the original packaging that came from Audi in. I don't hear from anyone at all and decide to call again (7/27/20). At this point Cody told me that his boss which is named Mark said that they are not willing to do anything, no restocking fee, no store credit, just that i'm now stuck with the parts that are brand new in the packaging. So after all this time, the unwillingness to accept a return of untouched brand new parts I highly recommend staying away from this parts department. Buyer beware, this is NOT the Audi store to be doing business with or to go to. I typed this review to be as factual and to the point as I could and to make people aware of the poor customer service this dealership is offering to its customers.
