DONT GO HERE
This story is so fucked I don’t even know where to begin. Before I start, I didn’t deal with the online side of things, only with the mechanics.
January 2022 I took my car to the jeep parts in urangan, Hervey bay to have my ECU fixed as my car wouldn’t start. They said that my car wouldn’t be looked at until mid Feb to end of Feb.
At first I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks, this was because the part was coming from America. 6 weeks later they find that the ecu wasn’t programmed correctly. Then they expressed to me that they would be sending it back to the states. Weeks later I contacted them to find that they hadn’t been in contacted with them, because of time difference. A understandable statement. Then they claimed they ordered a new ECU around end of June, then weeeks later they said it was stuck on boarder in waiting to clear customs, then weeks later they said it had been lost. I’m sure at least one of these was an excuse to save their ass.
So now we are around October and they are telling me they NOW KNOW A GUY ON THE GOLD COAST. It took them 10 months to come up with this idea, now here’s the kicker
ZANE THE MECHANIC, AND ONE OF THE 2 OWNERS was going to drive my car to Brisbane to me as a favour more or less he thinks it was a favour, but then it wasn’t programmed correctly, which has happened once already at this point. ZANE DECIDED HE MENTAL HEALTH WAS IN BAD SHAPE SO HE NEEDS A 3 WEEK HOLIDAY. Like it’s laughable, this guy talking about mental health when he couldn’t care less about his customers mental health, like get a grip. Still at this point in October 10 months later I haven’t yelled or swore, then November I snapped, understandably. Because they started getting annoyed with me like wtf 😂 anyway, 1 year later to cut this story short because I could probably write down another 5 paragraphs my paint job on the bonnet is fucked, the flares had been eaten through or melted who fucking knows, my subs aren’t working, I’m out of pocket 1 year of rego because I was told a month or two months so I kept paying my rego under that assumption. Also I asked in June to have my handbreak done, IT WASNT. SHOCKER.
To tie things up I asked for replacement paint job and flares, he thinks it’s okay to fix 1 thing and not the other, also only 2 flares, this is the most helpful they have been all year by giving me two flares, which they probably think they were doing me a favour. But imagine that logic, fix one thing and not the other. Anyway, I have recorded phone calls messages and emails, phone logs, if anyone is slightly worried about coming here, email me on brookejmhare@gmail.com and I will send over evidence and proof of the last year. I’ve got photos from 1 week before the car got to them and after photos.
To top it off, I still have RECIEVED AN APOLOGY. Which goes a long way, it probably would’ve prevented me from being spiteful. But at this point I plan on warning everyone on every jeep page not to get parts from them or work from them, every post I see asking for a good site, I’ll slam this company.
I will make sure there star rating drops.
I’ll make sure work health and safety visits them every year, I will make sure that the money they owe me will be lost either through bad reviews or warning as many people as I can.
I’ll make sure they know who ZANE IS, and how bad of a person he is, if I had it my way I’d tell lies to people in Hervey bay ruining his rep. We will see. Anyway hope you all don’t make the same mistake.

Just want to clarify a few points that have been made here. We did order an ECU from the USA for Brookes car and to cut a long story short after several months we received the part. After it was fitted the car had the same issues after the battery was disconnected. Obviously this was not a satisfactory outcome but we did not get any favourable replies from them to sort this issue out.
In the meantime we eventually found about someone on the gold coast that could re-program these so sent the part down to get this done. This is a relatively new process/ technology not widely available. They re-programed it but when put back in the car it was the same result , it would not work properly after the battery was disconnected. On consultation with them and the program people it was decided we needed to send the car down to them, so it could be done in car. Unfortuneately this was not an option as our car trailer had recently been stolen. We then had to wait till they could make a special trip to here to do the job, approx a 5 hour trip. After re-programming we thought the problem was corrected but a couple of days later the car was having a starting issue again.
Whilst we had the car we also replaced the brakes (new cailper pistons & seals, rotors, discs at a cost of $534) on the car with no charge to Brooke as we found an issue with them whilst testing the car. This repair was delayed due to the fact we could not remove the wheels as the lock nut for them was not in the car. Brookes brother was supposed to drop off the nut but ended up coming to get a sample of the nut and we then had to wait till he came back with the appropriate tool. Meantime we had purchased another trailer so were able to transport it to the Gold Coast.
The comments about Zane having time off for mental issues are totally untrue. His wife was involved in a life threatenly incident and had nearly died as a result of this and had been rushed to hospital for surgery so he was having days off for this which I think is quite understandable in the circumstances.
The condtion of the guard flares and paint is normal wear and tear on these cars, we see it all the time with this model from being exposed to Qld weather. We did supply guard flares for her to replace. As for the subs not working, that had nothing to do with the job we performed as nothing was touched in the back fo the car.
We kept in contact as much as we could and we were constantly apologising for the delays which however were out of our control in most instances.
We take threats to our staff and business seriously and as such will seek legal advice if we deem this necessary.
