We were v shocked to see the addition of over $3,400K as extended warranty and another $699 for a 3 years leather seat warranty, all of which they want us to pay inclusive of the cost of the vehicle. We asked that those items be removed since they should be optional and we are not interested to get them.
The Sales guy (Nicole) after speaking with his superiors came back and said it is their Dealership policy that we must buy the 3 years leather seat protection warranty. This extra cost imposition was resisted by us severally as the Sales guy kept on coming back and forth saying that his Boss refused to take it off. Note, this same Sales guy promised during our inspecting the vehicle to give us that seat protection plan at no cost when we raised concern on the state of the driver’s side leather seat.
We were verbally assaulted after we insisted we won’t pay any extra charge and told them we were no longer interested. At this point, they accepted to take it off and immediately we signed all the necessary papers, we were left unattended for long.
A blank paper with the vehicle particulars and my details written on top were brought to me to sign, I signed and used a pen to strike out the long blank portion on top of my signature line. This same weird practice of presenting customers to sign on a blank paper is amongst the complaints of several reviewers of this Lexus Dealership.
Only Scammers present blank forms/papers for people to sign!
We couldn’t finish the closure of that transaction that day and came back the next day to meet the very worst arrogant and rude attack by the Finance Manager Mark Berman when we went to complete the transaction. It does appear that these employees from this Lexus Dealership all whom seem to from the same race are pathologically rude and arrogant.
To our great surprise that morning, the vehicle tires were severely worn out with multiple cracks and I had a feeling they probably changed the tires we saw last evening, since no reputable major car dealer would sale a vehicle with such a bad set of tires that pose safety concerns.
The Lexus Service Manager admitted that though the service check report flagged those tires to be changed and he declined it, because they were still good.
The next day while driving with my wife on freeway, the vehicle was wobbling due to those v bad tires and we were advised to have them replaced to avoid having an accident.
I am highly disappointed that a supposedly major car dealer like Lexus brand would compromise on safety checks and exhibit such animalistic and dishonest behavior to their Clients, all because of their greed and zero regards to customers interest. Some of us pay the extra cost of getting a used vehicle from major car dealers, because of that assurance they have reconditioned it and fully taken care of any safety issue prior to presenting them for sale. That wasn’t the case with this Dealer in this case.
I strongly advise that people should keep off patronizing this Lexus Dealer and if you must go, please be v careful in what you sign and do go with experienced mechanic to thoroughly inspect the vehicle.
