DISHONEST CONS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! My dad is a former mechanic/technician and always warned me and my sister about shops like this that lie and rip people off but you hate to actually have tangible, verifiable proof of it!
I went to Park Auto Service on 1/10/18 for a pre-purchased Oil Change with a Groupon special that was purchased by my mother for a Christmas present to me. The guy seemed friendly and the oil change was quick. There were no problems until I was leaving and they gave me my repair order and recommendations. They RECOMMENDED (in writing, and also confirmed it verbally) that I get a FRONT BRAKE JOB. They quoted me a price on my paperwork. The problem with this is that my dad and I had JUST replaced the front brakes including brand new rotors FOUR days before that on 1/6/18!!! I have the receipts from Advance Auto to show for it.
I'm a Christian (A pastor even) and I tried to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I'd been driving my car for 4 days and it was working great but perhaps we didn't tighten something all the way or put enough lubricant on them, etc. I didn't tell him that we just replaced them. He had mentioned to me previously that they were swamped with Groupon oil changes and I wanted to know if he was a "snake oil salesman" who would actually LIE to ALL of these people. I knew better. What really upset me was all the others who might be paying for repairs that they don't actually need. I asked what was wrong with them, if there was just something lose or if the pads weren't wearing right? He said "nope, just normal wear and tear. You just need new brake pads and rotors. Your rotors are shot and there's almost nothing left on your brake pads."
Yep!! Just straight up lied to my face!! I had both brand new brake pads and rotors.. 4 Days Old! STAY AWAY from any mechanic that would do that. They should be put out of business!
