Don’t bring your STI here!
Beware STI owners**

I thought really long about posting this review, but I am so angry and disappointed about the damages on my car and lack of communication from this shop that it needs to be said. I would not bring any vehicle to this shop even if you paid me to.

After recently moving to PA, my husband and I were searching for a shop that would be on par to any of the New York/New Jersey shops that we were used to. We saw that PSI Proformance had great reviews so we thought we would give it a try since they have worked on many STI's previously. We brought our recently purchased Series White STI to this shop for a wheel alignment, corner balancing and for them to look over my sway bar install. Simple enough right? Travis, the owner of the shop, gave my husband and I, a tour of the shop upon arrival. After seeing all the cars that they work on and having a conversation with Travis, he made it seem like we could trust him with our car - we were surely mistaken.

First, Travis contacted us and indicated that we installed our sway bar backwards. Ok? We aren't mechanics, maybe we installed it wrong? Then, the car was brought to a third party shop to get the corner balancing and alignment done. Fine, maybe they don't have the machinery to do so?

After a couple of days, we picked up the vehicle around closing time and immediately noticed something was off on the way home. The steering wheel was crooked. The next day we did a full look over of the car and also noticed a gash on the side of the rear driver side door. We are very meticulous with our vehicles and we are for certain that the scratch was not there prior to the drop-off.

We had suspicions and were hesitant on bringing the vehicle back for further damages. So we decided to bring the car to a local shop just to look over the alignment and sure enough, it was completely off. We contacted Travis right at that moment and he indicated that he would give us a partial refund for the alignment. Then, we also found out that the sway bars were installed BACKWARDS, so we basically had them installed correctly the first time. The sway bars being installed backwards caused the inner tie rods to grind against the sway bars and damage them. We then called back, however the receptionist indicated that Travis would call us back. He never did.

We called multiple times throughout the week requesting to speak to Travis, but it was radio silence. We had paid $700 for the shop to re-install a sway bar backwards, have our rear door scratched, have alignment completely off, and who knows if the corner balancing was actually done correctly. Our car had more damages when it was finished than when we brought it in.

We ended up bringing our car to Prime Motoring (202 US-46, Hackettstown, NJ 07840) for a full build, where they are actual professionals and not amateurs who install sway bars backwards.

Stay away from this place!
