Total rip off, drunk while working, stole personal belongings off of truck!!!
The owner of this business scheduled a date for me to have my transmission replaced in my truck. I dropped it off and the work began. I dropped by the next day to find him working on the truck while drinking liquor, the little mini shot bottles, claiming that it was his cold remedy. He said that he didn’t feel well and that he was hung over. I have all of this on text messages as well as a video of him drinking in the shop while working on my vehicle. An hour or so in to me being there, he said his supplier was coming with a sensor that he needed for the truck, an output speed sensor and that he needed the money to pay him for it. So I handed him a hundred dollar bill. Turns out, that wasn’t what the truck needed and the guy left without selling SEAN, the owner of the business and man working on my truck, the part. I told him to hold on to the 100 because I owed him anyway which of course he did without an argument. We had agreed upon a 600 dollar price for the job. He begged me to pay him before the job was even done because he had to pay his supplier or something to that effect, so I did. Another 500.00 in cash. (He also asked that it be cash because the man was there and needed the money at that time.) At this time, the job was paid for but my truck wasn’t fixed. There seemed to be an issue and the transmission wouldn’t come out of fifth. It took him an additional two days to figure out that a wire right on the side of the transmission had been chewed through by a mouse and that’s what was causing the issue. When he got it figured out, I went there to pick up my truck. He comes outside, hands me the bill, and it’s 260 more than we agreed upon. The transmission fluid cost 175.00 to refill the tranny. I agreed to pay that, although it was never mentioned in the agreed upon price initially, but I understood. I had set two ladders for my business (I run a construction business) beside his building, with his permission, and told him I would be back to get them shortly. (My truck is already extremely high off the ground and with the ladders it wouldn’t fit on the lift) What does he do? He sends me a text after I leave saying I owe him money and that I left without paying him. We spoke on the phone and I told him I would come by as soon as I could and take care of the rest of the bill. I was supposed to be given 3 months to take care of this bill in full if I provided the transmission (which I did) but I had payed him the 600 already assuming we would be done with it and we could move on. Naturally, I think that he would honor the three months he gave me to pay off the total but of course he didn’t. Instead, he steals my ladders and hides them away somewhere from me where I can’t gave access to them until I give him an additional $380!!! Where that number comes from I will never know. I can only assume that in his drunken stouper he forgot everything that happened in those few days. Months later he still hasn’t returned my ladders which are a $375 investment each. He is withholding equipment that I use to support my family and pay my bills because In his mind, I owe him some money that was never paid on a schedule that was never agreed to. Just be mindful when dealing with this man. He seems EXTREMELY nice at first. He says all the right things and makes you think you’re in good hands. But don’t think you won’t be hassled about money right from the get go and hear a bunch of stories as to why you’re being bothered about it. I have sent him numerous messages asking to just get my possessions back and I’ll give him his money and we can each go out separate ways but he will not respond with anything other than, I need $380 which I do not owe and will not pay. I am filing a lawsuit against this business Monday morning, a police report will be made before then, and the BBB has been notified of his actions. Go somewhere else, save yourself the headache. There are shops out there that don’t need your money before the job gets finished and that won’t steal your personal belongings. If I could give a negative review I absolutely would.
