We had used this "clinic" a couple times previously with no problems, and they were fairly close to our office.
Took one of our company vehicles (2019 Subaru CrossTrek) in for an oil change and to have snow tires put on, which we provided. When we went to pick the vehicle up, the bill was for $878!
We were told they did an inspection (we were charged $75 for this, while we get them for free at Subaru), installed an air filter, replaced the rear rotors and brake pads, and we were told the summer tires were "no good anymore and were thrown out", which we were also charged for. When we asked why we weren't called before doing any of these services, we were told that the technician said, "It is okay to do the other services". The technician happened to be Jason, the owner.
I called Jason to find out why he did the services without calling us for authorization, and he said the vehicle was due for inspection, and he was 3 weeks out to get scheduled. In hindsight, he said he "probably should have called first before performing the other services".
When you schedule services on a work vehicle and expect a bill of $115, only to pick the vehicle up and get slammed with a bill of almost $900, I can't help but wonder how this owner could expect to stay in business with practices like this. I see all of these high reviews and don't understand what happened. I certainly hope this was just a single occurrence. Unfortunately, I do not believe we will be bringing our company vehicles here for future maintenance.
