"Absolute Worse Experience with a Business and it's Employees"
Had an absolutely horrible experience! My car was police towed at an accident (pulled from ditch and not given a choice of tow company as the police called them before even getting out of his car). They also refused to "drop" the car and let my daughter-in-law drive it home, insisting only the owner could retrieve it from their lot - despite it being fully driveable. Upon arrival to retrieve my car I inquired about the legality of the upper end of $400 charge they were trying to have me pay, and requested an invoice for full review of charges prior to paying. Owner began screaming and yelling at me for questiong my rights and their compliance under towing regulations and she actually kicked me out of her store, refusing to provide any invoice and threatening me with criminal trespass! One of the male employees also threatened physical assault against us stating, "touch your car, and see what I do to you". Despite it being state law/tow and tow storage regulations that you have the right to access your vehicle and retrieve any property during regular business hours, as well as not be prevented from paying for and retrieving your vehicle, and prices charged cannot exceed posted maximum. I had to call the police to assist me with paying for and retreiving my vehicle, due to the owners refusal to "let me on her property" because I exercised my rights as a consumer and were questioning their business practices in alignment to legality of the excessive charges and regulatory compliance. They also insisted cash only, which I believe by law they must also accept credit cards. They did lower the price to $325, but thats probably because they would be liable for 4x's the charge if found guilty in a court of law of excessive charges over maximum posted limits. Overall it was the worst experience I have ever encountered in my entire life and have never seen a business nor its employees conduct themselves in such a manner.
