Saved my bacon on a weekend
One Sunday last August, I was on a road trip with my young kids when my alternator went out just as I got to Rockdale. One of the Veit Automotive mechanics happened to be in the shop wrenching on his personal car, so I pulled up and was prepared to beg and plead for them to help us out. He and the owner were awesome - compassionate folks, and a quick repair had us back on the road in under 2 hours. I was really grateful, and asked - really kind of pushed - for them to pad the bill a bit for working on their day off, but they wouldn't hear about it. I got a great repair at a fair price in a situation where I would have felt lucky to pay $200 more. Great people and a great business.
