"Communication Problem"
I went to your shop because my last service was excellent. I dropped off my vehicle for a smog test and was told it would be done in a half hour. I verified you had all my contact information and I left. I returned over an hour later and never received a call and to my surprise my vehicle was right where I left it. When I went inside and asked if it was ready the rep said it would be a few minutes because the mechanic was on a test drive and then went into the bays to tell the mechanic to get started on my car immediately. She came back in and said it would take fifteen minutes. Now I know the test itself takes about that long and so I asked what happened and she said well they were suppose to get to my car and she got swamped and before you know it an hour had gone by. I sent my wife home and waited the fifteen minutes and then paid for the smog to which I told the lady I understand things happen, but all you had to do is call if you could meet the deadline you promised and I would of understood. Communication is key I was out running errands and I could of continued them instead of coming back to the shop thinking my car should be done by now since I waited double the time she quoted. I guess its my fault for not calling to make sure people do what they promise. I like your shop because of the previous service, but after this time it makes me wonder. If I gave someone the run around, only told the truth after being confronted and didn't perform what I promised, I would of at least compensated them something. All she could say was she was sorry and I believe she was and by the way I didn't ask for a discount or anything like that, just only that she should of communicated what was going on "just call somebody if things change, I understand things happen." I don't think that's too much to ask. Thanks
