New car needed a new starter. Would t start and stopped dead mid drive

Purchased a brand new Kona. Within one week car shut down at a major intersection after idling. Would not restart. Happened two additional times while driving back to dealership. At the dealership and at service car would not even start. Needed a new starter in a. Rand new vehicle.

This car can’t get out of it’s own way.

Buy ANYTHING but a Hyundai. Run. Run far and run fast. Try a Toyota, they seem to be pretty reliable. If they still made Yugos, I’d suggest one of those over this steaming pile of automotive feces. Buyer beware.

Safety a Major Concern

Safety a major concern, too much vehicle rocking even at low speeds, too much rocking in winds over 20mph. Vehicle doesn't blow in winds as usual like other vehicles, it feels like it will tip over. Not good service to address issues I had during my first visit, especially since i am a first time Hyundai owner. Once purchased, dealership didn't seem concerned about issues within the 1st month of purchase. Will stay with Toyota, Honda or Lexus going forward. Even though I leased the vehicle, I traded in the vehicle which meant I lost money, but just didn't feel safe in the vehicle.

AVOID

2024 n line 4400 miles 2 recalls 5 injector misfires Sunroof assembly needs replaced parts on 45 day back order !! Owned 4 Konos so was loyal AVOID !!! Hyundai customer service NON existent and lemon!!!

AVOID

I have owned 4 Konos so very loyal to brand. 4400 miles Kono N line 2024. 2 recalls , 5 injectors misfiring, Sunroof switch and motor no longer work and oh yes parts on 45 day back order as your headliner ripped apart to repair. REGRET jumping into NEW model year and all the headaches. This car is a lemon.. AVOID

Could be better

Car windshield chips easily one chip spread toward half the windshield. I’ve had it for 3 months and the windshield is now cracked. Interior easily wears out and stains easily. Feature are slow and a bit delayed when it comes to music

very ugly Robocop styling

went and looked at the new restyled Kona , it a disappointment, it looks like something off the Robocop helmet design. the interior is nice. but the vehicle also gained girth from the previous model. they ruined a great ultra small affordable CUV.

Cramped interior with big exterior

This is a good car for someone who just needs a small hatchback but wants to look like they own an SUV. It is very bulky, but that somehow does not translate to having much cargo space. The interior (of this particular trim) has random red stripes, and the exterior has a spoiler, but it seems like these features are mostly present so the car owner can feel youthful. Don't get if you have big dogs (or even dogs with long legs). Don't get if anyone who will be sitting in the backseat has long legs. The front seats also feel cramped (and I am only 5'2"). The drive assist features are very distracting, and they are difficult to differentiate from one another, so it's hard to tell when you're being informed of an actual emergency vs. when it's dinging for a reason that doesn't actually require you to look away from the road. For instance, lane assist dings when I am purposefully switching lanes and have my turn signal on. I end up thinking it is an emergency and have swerved because of it when I didn't need to. There are a number of alerts that seem to do this. I would turn them off if I could. Visibility is also low when you have the back seats up. I mentioned this to the dealership, and they suggested I remove the headrests. You're probably wondering why I didn't just remove the whole car? I tried to swap it for something else a day later but was told it would have to be an entirely new sale/nothing I paid would count toward the swap.

Don't really understand this question.

I didn't review the summary. If I had I wouldn't have purchased this vehicle. I didn't know I was going to end up with a brand new vehicle this one. I didn't ask about the gas mileage or the trunk space which I need cuz I keep equipment.

Cramped & Horrible Bluetooth Connectivity

I am so sorry we bought this car. The only good thing about it is it looks really good and it has bright collars. It is small cramps Top of the car is surrounded that when you put paddle boards or a ski rack on top you have to place the cross bar is very close 21 another. Every single time I get into the car I have to reconnect my phone. It doesn't seem to allow 2 drivers To have equal footing when pairing devices. Hyundai tried to appeal to every single person in the world therefore making the system so complicated no one can use it With ease. I went to the dealer and called the Hyundai blue link and they couldn't even figure it out.

Technology is frustrating

I like the way the car drives and handles. The sound system quality if good but the technology stinks. I've had nothing but problems with the screen. It's difficult and not intuitive. Things are unstable and don't work. It won't hold my phone info- it will load after numerous tries and works a while and then I come back and all my contacts and info are gone. Voice command has worked only sporadically. Most of the time it gives error messages. Screen tells me to do some5thing and when I do it does not work. App will not download on any of my three newer phones. Often bluetooth does not work and usb-c wiring works sometimes but not always!!! It's a mess! Three people at the dealership tried to work on it and gave up! I have opened a ticket with Hyundai but I'm not real hopeful unless they can replace it with a system that works. They just seem to want your money and nothing more. I like the car but wish now I had not bought it. I've driven Hyundais for ten years but I think this is my last. Too disappointed. I spent a lot of money for car that has too many bugs.

I have only had my car for a couple of months so I cannot honestly review it yet.

I started with one salesperson and ended up with another one at the end. I did not get any help with tech on my car from the second sales person and was not happy with the floormats still not delivered.

the vehicle is ok

This is the third Hyundai vehicle that we have had. It is a little disappointing because we have had a lot of enjoyment from the 2021 Tucson and the 2022 Genesis G70. The N line Kona is a little disappointing because the knocking sound from the engine during acceleration is annoying.

Nice to Drive and a Comfortable Ride

I haven't had it very long -- just over 1000 miles now. I'm enjoying driving it and its biggest plus is that the seats are very comfortable. It's handsome to look at, but it's way overly computerized and the programming options are not easy to find. So far, it appears that you have to scan a QR code just to find instructions and then you need to know what terminology Hyundai uses to find what you're looking for. But for these issues, I would have given a higher rating.

2024 Kona NLINE

I wish I had bought a model that was not so BRAND NEW perhaps the 2023 would have been a better option due to the fact it is not so full of sensors and issues that need to be fixed. It's hard-to-find solutions so far. I do hope some with be resolved and sooner than later! Hyundai has always been a positive experience in my family.

Buggy electronics + no trailer hitch for bike rack + buggy sunroof

The good side is the great warranty and value for price! This is why this is my sixth Hyundai. And it's zippy! A fun ride. :) However I'm experiencing problems as an early adopter with the new Kona style. First Apple CarPlay doesn't play well with this car despite updates with both car and iPhone. I've tested CarPlay with my two current earlier Hyundai models, a '17 Tucson and '21 Santa Fe, and I have no problems. However with this '24 Kona, CarPlay constantly drops voice dictation for texting. I cannot send or reply to texts because Siri talks over herself. Second, I use a trailer hitch bike rack. This car has no bike rack and it appears it never will. I cannot carry my road bike without partially disassembling it and stuffing it into the back of the car. I don't want to invest in a roof rack, especially since my car is stored on a lift and I'm not certain about the clearance for a roof accessory. Finally, the sunroof is buggy and has already been 'fixed' once. It won't closed after it's been opened until after the car has been parked for awhile. Fortunately I have covered parking.

Terrible Connectivity

If you want a connected car with the app, this is not the car. Serious software issues with this car. Otherwise a good car. It drives nice and and is comfortable. The software issues could only be solved with a thumb drive gigantic update that could only be figured out with Reddit. Dealer couldn't do it. And you cannot use BlueLink without signing up for Verizon wireless hot spot and agreeing to pay for overages.

Great little car!

Love the look of the 24 Kona. It drives great and has many upgrades similar to the bigger SUVs have. I downsized from a palaside and it has many of the same features . There are a few thing wish it had. No drivers side seat setting buttons. No power seats on passenger side.

nice but underpowered

was surprised to find out after purchasing that it does not have the agility to tow as others in its class. under powered for its size. MPG is 10 less than the elantra N. at this point i have seen 33 mpg going 62.

Vehicle is extremely comfortable driving. The interior is well designed and quiet. It has great warning alerts to approaching vehicles and pedestrians. The salesman was easy to work with and very attentive.
