Our family has saved $7000 so far by using West Laurel Garage. My son's 2014 Nissan was diagnosed by
the dealership as needing a new transmission - $4000. We took it to Tommy and his mechanic replaced the drive belt, solving the problem. It cost about $150.00. Then our Subaru needed a new catalytic converter. Subaru Inc. told me it wasn't covered under warranty and would cost over $3000. Tommy told me they were looking at the wrong warranty and suggested I ask again. It turns out it WAS covered under the emissions warranty, and the repair was free at the dealership. Tommy is as honest as they come and uses high quality parts at a reasonable price.

I was driving to Gaithersburg and my whole car shaking so bad that it made my voice shake when I was
talking, it was like sitting in one of those massage chair at the mall. I thought I needed to get my tires rotated and balanced and looked up the nearest mechanic on my route and found this place. I asked for an estimate for an oil changed and tire balance. I was shocked at how fair the price was. I expected to be paying way more than what they estimated and they guarantee that the price won’t go higher than 10% of the cost of the estimation. I went ahead with the work. A mechanic came in a little while later to tell me that my front outer tire rods were stripped and that’s what was causing my care to shake so violently. I thought “great! That’s gonna set me back an additional $500 that I absolutely don’t have. I asked for an estimate and if they were able to do it the same day and was once again, utterly shocked at how inexpensive it was and that he was going to order and pick up the part down the road immediately. I told them to go ahead and do it. So they do my tire rotation and balancing, oil change and put new outer tire rods all for $430. My car rides so smoothly now, no shaking at all, has fresh oil, an tires are even. They did it all the same day and in under 2 hours. Incredible work for a bargain. I’m definitely making them my de facto mechanic after this experience.
