Off the charts!!!
Hello, I have been working on cars my entire adult life. Although I’m not a certified mechanic, I consider myself maybe half a mechanic? Lol. I no longer have a house with a garage and recently moved to a condo in Framingham. I took my car to Town Fair Tire in Natick for 4 brand-new tires before I headed to Florida the day before Thanksgiving. The tire technician broke a wheel lug nut stud. In an attempt to fix it, we did not understand the new technology with electric control emergency braking. We tried to change a simple lug nut stud, well, back in the day It would’ve been jiffy quick simple but today you need a diagnostic computer to disable the electric control emergency brake actuator. We didn't have one so we attempted to surcomvent and tried to do it without one. After changing the stud my whole dashboard lit up. We use force attempting to get the job done without a diagnostic computer to deactivate the emergency brake actuator. This was the day before Thanksgiving. After driving away from Townfair Tire, my dashboard was like a Christmas tree. My brake light was flashing and things were warning me not to drive the car. I was panicking because I was going to drive to Florida on Thanksgiving Eve. I pulled into Absolute Auto Care the day before Thanksgiving. I had never been there before. I saw it from leaving the parking lot of CVS across the street and decided to go in. A gentleman named Mike came right out. I explained what was going on with my situation. A few minutes later, a gentleman came out and pulled my car around back into the shop. They checked everything and assured me it was safe for my trip and said we can address it when you come back. I offered to pay them for their time. They refused to take anything. I was in shock. This never happens anywhere. The shop was very busy and he said well you’re lucky we gotta pull one out. We’ll pull it right in and check it quickly to make sure it’s safe and that the unit is actually plugged in and they tried to reset it with the computer, but we had burnt out the emergency brake actuator. Perhaps he saw my trepidation and anxiety, because I was leaving less than 24 hours later and I was worried about my brakes on a long 1400-mile trip to Florida. After returning from Florida, I purchased the part and was about to buy a diagnostic computer to attempt to do the job myself but changed my mind. I thought, Absolute had earned my business the day before Thanksgiving and brought the car in to them to have it installed plus an oil change. I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised with the easy nighttime drop off box,, the automated automated telephone system, the follow-up, and then the tracking email with easy access to make future appointment and write a review. It’s like dealing with a five-star Rolls-Royce dealership. The only thing that was missing was a nice hot cup of coffee and a biscotti when I went in to pick it up, I dropped it the night before in the drop off box. Got a call mid-afternoon the next day to pick it up. I am often someone who looks to critique businesses, but this one gets an A+. I can’t say or express anything that I could add for a better experience except for that yes that’s right I’m gonna say it again a cup of coffee and a biscotti if you take the time to read this message, you will not be disappointed to bring your car. The mechanics there are ASE-certified technicians. Let me say that again ASE certified technicians! That’s very important. They’re professionals. I will bring my cars to Absolute Auto Care from now on and probably for as long as I’m living in this nighbourhood and can't do the job myself. Thanks to all at Absolute Auto Care. Your new customer.
