Very expensive does not stand behind their word would recommend another mechanic unless maybe you know them personally!
I brought my car up there a year ago and all that I got out of it was a loss of $1,500. Initially I paid $1,000 for break pads and discs that once I took home my cat the brake hose suddenly and I quote "suddenly" because if a mechanic is working on a car part then they would notice if another part of that car part that you're working on wasn't working right? So the brake hosecollapsed therefore causing one of my brake pads not to work and for my wife to drive around with the car for almost a year that just wasn't stopping. I contacted him immediately as I discovered this and let them know what was going on, which they claimed if it was under warranty they would fix it.Due to our hectic schedule kids in school, jobs, we could never be able to find the time to take it up there so we could drop it off because last time they had it they kept it for 3 days. So we had a choice to make and we chose to spend an afternoon to go out and purchase a new vehicle so that we could take this vehicle up there for them to fulfill the warranty. When I went up there I spoke with a gentleman and explain to him the issue he took my keys and told me that he'll give me a call once they looked it over and came to a solution. I didn't hear from the gentleman at all that day until late the next day where he called just to explain to me that one of my back rear brake hoses collapse causing the problem with my brakes. So I stated to him isn't this something that would have been caught when you were working on the brakes the first time he claims that they do not work on things that are not brought to their attention. Now when I brought my car to them the first time I just told them I need my brakes fixed and I pretty sure that wouldn't tell everything included in getting your brakes fixed from the calibers the past the disc the hoses everything! I was aghast when he told me this so upon further conversation he claimed that he could get the part and he would just charge me for half an hour of work which I agreed to. I didn't speak to the gentleman at all for the rest of the day until the next day where my wife decided to reach out to them because she spoke to her brother who was a mechanic and who claimed that they were pulling a mechanics game on us. Where they claim to fix one thing another thing breaks down where we have to bring our car back to get it fixed and charge us astronomically. So my wife order them to stop everything they were doing just put it back together and we would come pick it up because my brother-in-law was going to come down that weekend and do the brakes for us. We waited three more days to hear back from anyone and once I did it was via email where a gentleman claimed we were not getting the car back until we paid for the services rendered which was an astonishing $500! I have to going back and forth with my wife on this she agreed just to pay it so we can get our car back and never go here again with the deal being that they fixed the collapsed holes replace the brake pads and the dish that were under warranty but yet now the calibers are locking up so it would be drivable but barely. So we went up there paid the $500 got the keys went to my car and my car wouldn't start! My car wouldn't start with a brand new battery that I just purchased weeks prior. One of the reasons why we had to purchase a new car was because our battery died and I had to go out and get a brand new battery and this was right before I went and brought my car to Bridges mechanics. Not only that when my brother-in-law came down to fix the calibers we discovered that they didn't even change out the brake disc or the brake pads that were under warranty that they charged us for I have pictures of everything as my brother-in-law was doing this and you could tell these brake pads and disc or the same ones that were on my car when I brought them to them. Maybe if you know these guys they will treat you right we have been in Jacksonville for 6 years and we're trying to find a reliable mechanic in the area and somebody decided that Bridges mechanic was a great place to take your car but I have to say in my experience it was the worst and now I have to figure out if I could safely take my car back up there to get them to replace the brake discs and pads they were supposed to replace and to recompensate me for the $200 battery that they drained ! My suggestion would be if you do not know these mechanics personally don't go there find another mechanic!
